- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
- New York State licensure.
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants certification.
- Availability for four-day shifts per week from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including some weekend coverage, with no nights or holidays.
- Ability to work on-site and live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian.
- Provide front-line care for surgical patients admitted to the hospital.
- Round with attending surgeons.
- Write clinical notes and orders.
- Perform necessary bedside procedures.
- Assist in the operating room as a first or second assistant.
- Cover four-day shifts per week, including some weekend coverage.
- At least one year of experience caring for post-surgical patients.
