Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  • New York State licensure.
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants certification.
  • Availability for four-day shifts per week from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including some weekend coverage, with no nights or holidays.
  • Ability to work on-site and live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian.
Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line care for surgical patients admitted to the hospital.
  • Round with attending surgeons.
  • Write clinical notes and orders.
  • Perform necessary bedside procedures.
  • Assist in the operating room as a first or second assistant.
  • Cover four-day shifts per week, including some weekend coverage.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience caring for post-surgical patients.
