  • Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or advanced degree
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in controls engineering
  • Proficient in planning, creating schematic and panel assembly drawings
  • Proficient in working with PLCs (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens), HMIs, and VFD's
  • Proficient in implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs
  • Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop
Responsibilities
  • Supports the design of schematics and control panels
  • Support & Complete commissioning of complex systems that integrate hardware and software
  • Recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction
  • Performs full range of standard work for the professional field
  • Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills
  • Develops the design of very complex systems that integrate hardware and software
  • Develops very complex material specification, schematic preparation, and appropriate follow-up
  • Guides very complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design
  • Performs advanced areas of work for the professional field
  • Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently
  • Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems
  • Leads the largest complex projects, delegating most tasks to lower-level engineers
