Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field from accredited institution in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Approximately twenty (20) years of verifiable program or project management experience participating in and leading Navy engineering programs for the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Military Sealift Command in the areas of performance and assessment of quality, cost control, schedule, regulatory compliance, and small business utilization. This includes experience reporting to technical and non-technical audiences up to the field grade officer (O-6) or civilian senior level (GS-15).
Responsibilities
  • Provide Senior Level PM leadership in acquisition of engineering and technical Knowledge Based Services (KBS) in support of NSWCCD Code 80, other NSWCCD Codes, and NSWCCD sponsors.
  • Provide PM support to Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division’s (NSWCCD) Naval Architecture and Engineering Department (Code 80) in all areas of the PWS including research, engineering and naval architecture on surface ships, submarines, small craft, specialized platforms including sea based aviation platforms and off-board systems.
  • Travel to other work sites include the Washington, DC, The Large Cavitation Channel in Millington, TN and Naval and Private Shipyards and Ports Lead Programmatic / Project duties in the following areas: Project Management, Electronic Document Library (eDL), Meetings and In-Progress Reviews (IPR), Programmatic Support, Lead the following Task Areas, Research and Development (R&D) Support, Hydrodynamics and Aerodynamics Engineering Support, Design and Development, Systems Engineering Support, Support of On-Site Test and Fabrication Facilities, Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Support, Design Documentation and Technical Data Support, T&E Support, CDRL Deliverables, GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY (GFP) AND GFI.
