- A high school diploma, GED equivalent, or practical experience.
- Must not currently be enrolled in or have completed a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree program in a design-related field.
- Less than one year of relevant user experience design experience through personal or professional projects, hobbies, or online coursework.
- Must be located in the United States for the duration of the apprenticeship program.
- An updated resume or CV in English is required for the application.
- Empathize, define, and ideate solutions using user experience design best practices.
- Apply design training to real projects by empathizing with users, defining pain points and needs, generating design solutions, creating low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes, and testing designs to obtain user feedback.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate user and business needs and communicate designs effectively.
- Use artificial intelligence responsibly, effectively, and innovatively.
- Solve user needs through product design and shape experiences using user experience design skills.
- Use AI-powered tools, when appropriate, for research, synthesis, and prototyping.
- Work cross-functionally with product management, software engineering, and data science to deliver accessible products using user experience design best practices.
- Complete 40 hours per week split between on-the-job training and related technical instruction.
- Participate in virtual onboarding, track-specific learning, career workshops, and career readiness support.
- Experience using Google Workspace or a similar productivity suite.
- Experience with or familiarity with a design tool such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe applications.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, find suitable solutions, and seek help or advice when appropriate.
- A proactive attitude.
- Enthusiasm for new technologies, demonstrated through personal projects and commitment to learning.
- Communication, organizational, problem-solving, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
