Under general supervision, responsible for operating multi-slice computerized tomography scanners to obtain cross sectional images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
Schedule: This role will support the clinic on Saturday(s) 8a.m - 5 p.m. and weekday availability is preferred.
Follows scanning protocols.
Must have Advanced experience in post processing of 3D imaging.
Must be current with the functionality of CT scanners and must have strong IV skills.
Knowledgeable in the operation of the power injector and contrast administration/usage, as well as all peripheral hardware to include the console, monitoring equipment and any and all devices used in CT.
Ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives and choose an appropriate course of action.
Demonstrated knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Licenses and Certifications:
MRT & AART
Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures; accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions.
Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
Performs all ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, obstetric and gynecological scans, radiation therapy localization for treatment planning and minor surgical procedures.
Performs quality assurance on CT scanning equipment according to ACR QA requirements.
Properly uses the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and communication system (PACS).
Performs all other duties as assigned.
