Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Three years of experience in career coaching, career navigation, and job placement are required.
  • Knowledge of Adult Education and Literacy grant requirements and Office of Management and Budget Guidance for Grants and Agreements is required.
  • Knowledge of Adult Education and Literacy curricula is required.
  • Knowledge of workforce programs, marketing recruitment, and related industry clusters is required.
  • Knowledge of campus resources and processes, including admissions, financial aid, placement testing, and registration, is required.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Organizational and customer service skills are required.
  • The ability to manage students in their efforts to achieve certification is required.
  • The ability to communicate technical and complex information orally, visually in multiple formats, and in writing is required.
  • The ability to work independently and cooperatively with other employees is required.
  • The ability to build partnerships with external stakeholders is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support Career Pathway objectives, including recruitment, career guidance, transition, and retention support, and successful completion of training.
  • Develop and present workshops, events, programming, and occupational information to various audiences, including employers.
  • Collaborate with Transfer Offices to identify and promote university transfer pathways through 2+2 agreements to students in workforce and academic programs.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining marketing materials, the Adult Education and Literacy website, and recruitment activities to increase enrollment of students from underserved populations.
  • Attend and participate in professional development activities required by the grant.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
