RKT misses Q2 revenue, warns on housing outlook despite market share gains and AI-driven integration wins

Rocket Companies reported second-quarter revenue of $2.76 billion, missing analyst estimates of $2.84 billion despite 92.9% year-on-year growth. The fintech mortgage provider's adjusted earnings per share of $0.16 met expectations. The company's third-quarter revenue guidance of $2.6 billion came in 10.1% below analyst forecasts. CEO Varun Krishna noted that higher mortgage rates and affordability challenges continue to pressure housing demand, stating "The expected housing recovery in 2026 has not materialised". Rocket achieved record market share in both purchase and refinance segments. Over 70% of revenue now comes from recurring or less rate-sensitive businesses, including servicing and subscriptions, contributing to the company's most profitable quarter in four years. CFO Brian Nicholas Brown said expenses would decline approximately $100 million quarter-on-quarter, with additional synergies expected from recent acquisitions.
