Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • One year of experience serving individuals in need, including children, youth, elderly people, or people with physical, emotional, or mental disabilities, or related coursework as determined through review of a college transcript, is required.
  • A current license and good driving record are required, and the employee must be able to transport others.
  • Employees must complete a drug screen, tuberculosis test, and extensive background checks, including criminal history, sex offender registry, state central registry, education verification, and professional references.
Responsibilities
  • Provide life-skills training to adults with mental illness who live in residential facilities to help them build skills and live independently.
  • Provide residential skills coaching in areas including organizational skills, budgeting, shopping, and general life skills in a supportive living environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field such as social work, psychology, or counseling is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the Recovery Model is highly preferred.
