Requirements
  • Be a qualified and experienced Oral Health Therapist with Adult scope and registration to practice in Australia.
  • Hold unrestricted Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration and professional indemnity insurance, or be able to obtain them.
  • Be able to work within Australia.
  • Perform patient care with strong communication skills.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a dental team.
  • Maintain strong organisational skills and attention to detail for patient records and treatment plans.
Responsibilities
  • Perform dental hygiene assessments and treatments, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications.
  • Educate patients on oral health, preventive care, and effective hygiene practices.
  • Take and interpret dental radiographs to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Place stainless steel crowns and remove deciduous teeth within scope of practice.
  • Assist in managing dental emergencies and support a range of clinical procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient records.
  • Build relationships with patients and contribute to a positive team-oriented culture.
  • Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
  • Stay current with emerging dental technologies, techniques, and best practices through ongoing professional development.
