Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Five or more years of cloud engineering experience, including substantial hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, are required.
  • Production-level infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform is required.
  • Solid experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure compute, networking, storage, identity, and database services is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes is required.
  • Experience building continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for cloud workloads is required.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash are required.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, and compliance requirements is required.
  • Experience with observability tooling and incident response is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Architect, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade Oracle Cloud Infrastructure landing zones, compartments, and tenancy structures aligned with governance and compliance standards.
  • Design and implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure networking topologies using virtual cloud networks, subnets, gateways, FastConnect, IPsec VPN, and Dynamic Routing Gateway hub-and-spoke architectures.
  • Build and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Resource Manager, including version control, peer review, and automated validation.
  • Implement identity and access management policies, federation with corporate identity providers, and role-based access control patterns using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Identity Domains.
  • Design and operate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure compute and storage services, including virtual machines, bare metal, Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes, Object Storage, Block Volume, File Storage, and Archive Storage.
  • Operate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure database services, including Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud, MySQL HeatWave, and Base Database, in partnership with database administration teams.
  • Build continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions for infrastructure and applications.
  • Implement observability with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring, Logging, Application Performance Monitoring, and third-party observability integrations.
  • Drive cost optimization through right-sizing, lifecycle management, and architectural simplification.
  • Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure regions and availability domains.
  • Strengthen security using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe, and lead remediation of findings.
  • Advise application development teams on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure-native design patterns and best practices.
  • Develop automation tooling in Python, Bash, and Terraform to reduce operational toil.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal cloud communities of practice.
