Technology Intern, Office of IT Chief Operating Officer

The Technology Internship, Office of IT Chief Operating Officer role will provide the intern an understanding of the business of technology and what it takes to work in corporate technology environment. The expectation is that the intern will come out of this internship with an exposure to things like technology structure, basic terminology and functions, and executive communications and presentations. This role does not require that someone be technical, but it will provide the intern a real good example of why technology is involved in every decision at a large institution. This role will be in support of the Office of IT Chief Operating Officer (COO) team.
This 2025 Summer Internship for undergraduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and May 2026.

Essential Functions:
Some responsibilities of Technology Intern, Office of IT COO may include but are not limited to:
- Draft PowerPoints for presentations to senior leaders
- Review/update Excel documents with attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Create and/or edit Visio workflows detailing business processes
- Research and draft communications for upcoming releases
- Special Project work related to strategic initiatives within the organization
- Ability to work various tasks at a time and complete assigned tasks end-to-end

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a University or College
- Preferably majoring in Information Systems, MIS, Engineering, Math, Business, or related field
- Expected graduation date between December 2025 – May 2026
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Strong analytics and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Teams, SharePoint
- Ability to work independently and within teams
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize appropriately
- Eager to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Availability for entire internship program
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

Working Conditions:
- Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs
- Travel to multiple facilities may be required
- May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
- May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time
- May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
