Requirements
  • Must have a strong buy in to Leadership's strategy and embrace constant change to achieve overall goals
  • Ability to manage day-to-day preventative maintenance, specialized services and national programs within an assigned coverage area of approximately 350 stores
  • Direct leadership and management of P3 professionals and approximately 23 technicians, including required training, certifications and performing work in accordance with all maintenance programs, contracts and regulatory requirements
  • Experience managing maintenance programs, contracts and regulatory requirements; strong governance
  • Budget management responsibilities including maintenance expense and capital budget allocations for preventative maintenance, specialized programs and national services within the assigned geographic area; including budget versus actual explanations and cost reduction initiatives
  • Ability to utilize business intelligence data to drive actionable results for efficient expense and capital spend
  • Ability to conduct field site visits to evaluate service levels, property condition assessments, compliance audits, and to gather feedback from franchisees and operations
  • Experience representing facilities in meetings and site visits with operations, franchisees and other key stakeholders to review strategic outlook and tactical execution of services
  • Experience managing inventory of trucks and technicians, including tools, parts, and other company equipment
  • Experience reviewing and approving work from Direct Service Providers in accordance with Delegation of Authority
  • Experience auditing third-party invoices including travel, parts, and generalized repairs
  • Experience ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Experience completing special projects and other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
  • Oversee assigned preventative maintenance, specialized services and national programs
  • Lead Program Coordinators, specialized technicians and direct relationships with outsourced service providers for equipment, property, and physical plant to ensure compliance with maintenance programs and regulatory requirements
  • Manage open service work orders, KPI review/analysis, invoice and dispute resolutions, PM regulations monitoring and spot verification, and governance compliance across maintenance activities
  • Manage direct relationships with outsourced providers on day-to-day operations of equipment, property, and physical plant to ensure compliance with established maintenance programs and regulatory requirements
  • Represent Facilities department in meetings and site visits with Operations, Franchisees and other key stakeholders to review strategic outlook and tactical execution of services
  • Conduct field site visits to evaluate service levels and gather feedback from Franchisees and operations
  • Manage truck and technician inventory including tools, parts and other company equipment
  • Review and approve work from Direct Service Providers in accordance with Delegation of Authority
  • Audit 3rd party invoices including travel, parts, and generalized repairs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by management

99-year-old 7-Eleven closing 645 stores as chain shifts to food-focused format

7-Eleven plans to close 645 convenience stores in 2026 as part of an ongoing portfolio optimisation strategy. The closures follow more than 600 location shutdowns in 2024 and 2025 combined, representing part of a broader business transformation. The 99-year-old chain is shifting from a traditional convenience store model to a food-focused format with higher-quality prepared foods and beverages. Some locations will be converted to wholesale fuel stores, which aren't included in the company's store count. The closures target underperforming locations affected by inflation, weaker traffic and shifting consumer behaviour. 7-Eleven operates over 13,000 stores across North America and is eyeing a 2027 IPO whilst simultaneously opening new large-format, food-focused locations.
