Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a comparable technical or process engineering role
  • Proven experience in process design of water, wastewater, and desalination treatment systems
  • Experience with process simulations and membrane projections
  • Demonstrated capability in preparing process calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, control philosophies, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with digital engineering environments (e.g. BIM)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including technical report writing
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience supporting procurement, tendering, and vendor engagement
  • Valid driver’s licence recognised in Australia
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel interstate and overseas as required
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to conceptual, detailed, and value‑engineered process designs for large‑scale desalination and water treatment plant projects
  • Undertake process planning, modelling, and membrane simulations to support optimised and sustainable solutions
  • Prepare technical calculations, procurement specifications, technical documentation, and schedules
  • Develop and manage digital engineering information including drawing registers, transmittals, change requests, and design documentation
  • Prepare and present D&C cost estimates and design solutions to key stakeholders
  • Support tendering and business development activities when required
  • Support the delivery phase by developing and coordinating project documentation, technical clarifications, site visits, and project meetings
  • Supervising systems which are subject to chemical changes within its lifecycle
  • Ensure selection, construction, and installation of process equipment aligns with approved designs and project specifications
  • Manage scoping, definition, specification preparation, and tendering during procurement phases
  • Coordinate and file project documentation including tender and contract documents, correspondence, and safety, quality, and environmental records
  • Contribute to Management Plans, Functional Descriptions, Commissioning Plans, ITPs, performance testing, and O&M documentation
  • Assist in resolving non‑critical project issues through technical analysis and recommendations
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary project teams, third parties, and ACCIONA Head Office on technical matters
  • Prepare and manage RFQs for vendor equipment
  • Gather and communicate relevant technical and project information effectively
  • Propose project improvements through technical modifications and optimisations
  • Prepare high‑quality client documentation, technical reports, and presentations
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors
  • Supervise tasks of assigned team members where applicable
