Requirements
  • 5+ years as a software engineer, site-reliability engineer, sales engineer, cloud architect or other technical role with a focus on cloud infrastructure
  • Extensive expertise with modern cloud and on-premise network architectures, connectivity mechanisms (SSH, Reverse SSH, VPN, PrivateLink), and data security
  • Comprehensive knowledge of self-hosted database management, UNIX/LINUX, and management of compute in Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Extensive expertise with demoing products, features, and technologies to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Passion for infrastructure, programmatic management of infrastructure, and data
  • Curiosity to learn and assimilate technical information quickly, enthusiasm to share and teach others
Responsibilities
  • Enable field sales and sales engineering efficiency by creating and managing demo resources and associated infrastructure
  • Build and deploy bespoke infrastructure for use in high value customer demos and scenario specific engagements
  • Write and maintain internal code for automations including slack bots, alterting, reporting, and cost control
  • Work closely with Fivetran’s Product and Engineering teams to ensure feature launches are accompanied by the appropriate demo resources and supporting infrastructure
  • Create and maintain curated written and recorded demo content related to our highest value connectors, destinations, technologies, and features
  • Be a voice in the programmatic deployment and management of Fivetran on our blog
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends data management
