Under the supervision of the Business Development Manager, this individual will develop current and future opportunities for the St. Louis, eastern Missouri, Southwestern, and Central Illinois markets. Select markets include transportation, manufacturing, energy, institutional, and commercial development. Specific tasks and assignments expected of this role are included below.

Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to company growth by proactively working within select geographical markets to identify and secure business opportunities with public and private clients that may include government agencies, private companies, consulting firms, and contractors.
Provide continual development and maintenance of both internal (Geotechnology, LLC dba UES) and external relationships (clients, vendors, consultants).
Identify and evaluate potential new service offerings through discussions with existing and potential clients.
Assist with the development of proposals and presentations for prospective projects.
Provide constructive feedback throughout the year to assist project management employees with information on the market and required services.
Work closely with the corporate marketing staff to develop tools required for successful sales efforts.
Assist with UES Growth Teams as applicable.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, or 5+ years of business development experience
Expertise/training in Engineering, Geology, Construction Management or related field is a plus
At least 5+ years of responsible experience in business development. Experience working in the engineering and construction trades is a plus
Demonstrated ability to win new business. Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
