Fortune media and Great Place To Work name SmartBank to 2026 Best Medium Workplaces list.

Fortune media and Great Place To Work name SmartBank to 2026 Best Medium Workplaces list. Recognition marks company's third consecutive year of Great Place To Work certification August 27, 2026 SmartBank earns first appearance on Best Medium Workplaces list. (UCBJ) - Great Place To Work(R) and Fortune magazine have selected SmartBank for the 2026 Fortune Best Medium Workplaces(TM) list. While SmartBank was previously recognized on Fortune's Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance list, this marks the company's first appearance on the Best Medium Workplaces list, coming in at No. 37. Earning a spot means that SmartBank is one of the best companies to work for in the country. To determine the Best Medium Workplaces list, Great Place To Work analyzed the survey responses of more than 240,000 employees from Great Place To Work Certified(TM) companies with between 100 and 999 U.S. employees. "At SmartBank, our people are the difference makers," said Billy Carroll, SmartBank President and CEO. "We are proud of the culture our associates have created, one built on teamwork, service, and a shared commitment to excellence. This recognition belongs to the associates who help make SmartBank such a special place to work." "A thriving workplace doesn't happen by accident. It's built through trust, listening, and a shared commitment to helping people grow," said Becca Boyd, SmartBank Chief People Officer. "I'm proud of the culture our associates have built together. We strive to create an environment where people feel valued, supported, and able to bring their best self to work each day. This recognition is a reflection of our associates and what's possible when people genuinely care about one another and the work we do together." The Best Medium Workplaces list is highly competitive. Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, determines its lists using its proprietary platform to evaluate and certify thousands of organizations in America's largest ongoing annual workforce study, based on over 1.3 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than 7.3 million employees this year alone. Survey responses reflect a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience. Companies earned their spot by offering the most generous, caring, and innovative cultures to the largest possible number of employees in the organization, regardless of job role, work status, or any other demographic identifier. "For small- and medium-sized companies, leadership can make the difference between double-digit revenue growth and a flatlining business," says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. "Being recognized for high-trust leadership is a powerful predictor of future success, regardless of the market." SmartBank's recognition on this year's Medium Workplaces list follows its inclusion on the Best Places to Work in Financial Services & Insurance list last year and marks the company's third consecutive year of Great Place To Work(R) certification. This consistent achievement reflects the organization's ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and rewarding workplace environment, where associates' contributions are valued and celebrated.
