Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in business-to-business software-as-a-service marketing, with a track record of driving pipeline and revenue in sales-led organizations supporting mid-market and strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Direct experience partnering with Sales leadership on account strategy, funnel health, forecasting, and deal acceleration, with accountability for shared revenue outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with demand generation and performance marketing, including paid acquisition, experimentation, budget ownership, and return-on-investment analysis.
  • Understanding of different sales motions, including high-velocity pipeline generation, account-based marketing, account-based nurture, and deal support for strategic accounts.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and build systems from scratch in environments where Sales and Marketing evolve together.
  • Analytical, outcome-oriented approach focused on pipeline, revenue impact, customer acquisition cost, and payback.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with Sales, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership using data to explain performance and recommended actions.
  • Ability to set direction, work directly in marketing tools when needed, and mentor others.
Responsibilities
  • Own Seqera’s demand generation and pipeline impact across high-velocity lower-ACV deals and targeted account-based marketing and nurture-led programs for mid-market and enterprise opportunities.
  • Personally lead and execute initiatives across paid media, lifecycle marketing, website conversion, account-based marketing, content, and experimentation while mentoring and developing the marketing team.
  • Design repeatable, multi-channel demand programs that balance short-term pipeline needs with long-term growth investments.
  • Lead website strategy, conversion rate optimization, user experience improvements, sophisticated email nurture programs, and marketing automation.
  • Plan and execute an integrated events strategy covering field events, industry conferences, and owned events, connecting event activity to pipeline creation, acceleration, and post-event nurture with Sales.
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations on ideal customer profiles, funnel definitions, handoffs, forecasting, funnel health reviews, deal velocity, and conversion improvement.
  • Translate open-source adoption, product-led growth, and community engagement into measurable business impact with cross-functional teams.
  • Own dashboards, pipeline forecasting, and performance reviews; make decisions with imperfect data, test quickly, and iterate based on results.
  • Improve processes, document best practices, support hiring, and help shape a high-performing marketing function.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience marketing to technical audiences, including developers, scientists, or data engineers.
  • Background in open source, developer tools, data infrastructure, or life sciences software.
  • Exposure to sales-led or hybrid go-to-market models.

Seqera Labs provides software to orchestrate data analysis pipelines in genomics and life sciences. Built on Nextflow, Seqera Tower adds enterprise features for collaboration, monitoring, and deploying pipelines at scale on premises or in the cloud. It differentiates by offering an enterprise-grade runtime layer on top of the open-source Nextflow core, focusing on governance, scalability, and collaboration for pharma, biotech, and genomics teams. The goal is to help researchers accelerate genomic data analysis and drug discovery, enabling faster public health responses and more efficient scientific workflows across large organizations.

Benchling utilizes Model Context Protocol to bridge scientific data with AI ecosystems.

Benchling utilizes Model Context Protocol to bridge scientific data with AI ecosystems. Published. April 30, 2026 Benchling has launched AI Connectors, a new integration suite built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) designed to unify fragmented scientific and enterprise data streams. The platform, which supports over 1,300 biotech organizations including Merck and Moderna, aims to eliminate the manual "copy-paste" workflows that currently plague R&D. By establishing a standardized interface, the connectors allow researchers to pull context directly from institutional tools like SharePoint, Snowflake, and Notion into their experimental records. This bidirectional data flow ensures that AI agents can access the full breadth of a project's history - ranging from experiment records to internal institutional knowledge - without losing critical scientific context. The new capabilities also extend to specialized research tools, allowing scientists to query a deep index of over 8 million biomedical papers via Elicit and GXL without leaving their digital notebooks. Furthermore, the Benchling MCP Server enables external AI models, such as Claude and ChatGPT, to query structured laboratory records directly, providing researchers with answers grounded in verified experimental data. By integrating bioinformatics workflows from Seqera and large datasets via Amazon S3, the update seeks to turn Benchling into a centralized hub for the entire R&D lifecycle. Following a successful beta phase, the company expects general availability of the full MCP offering in May 2026.
