We’re looking to hire a Solutions Architect, Majors to join the Revenue team. As a Solutions Architect, you will lead evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt for our largest enterprise customers. This hire must be based in the Bay Area or Southern California

In this role, you can expect to:

Become an expert in designing enterprise-grade data pipelines with dbt Cloud
Work hand-in-hand with sales to communicate the technical and business value of the dbt Labs suite of products
Visit and meet with prospects/customers throughout our Southeast region in person
Guide customers through proof-of-concept implementations and facilitate trials of dbt Cloud
Work with engineering to deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds for enterprise customers
Own the full customer lifecycle from pre-sale evaluation to product adoption and expansion
Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap
Be an active member of the dbt community

You are a good fit if you have:

4+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI
A solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modeling
A firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architectures
Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions
Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community

You’ll have an edge if:

Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software company
Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt
Experience with Dimensional Modeling
Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend)

Qualifications:

Minimum requirement of at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, including salary, equity, and where applicable, performance-based pay. Our Talent Acquisition Team can answer questions around dbt Lab’s total rewards during your interview process.

The typical starting salary range for this role is:
- $210,000 - $254,000 USD OTE
