Responsibilities
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Gain a financial commitment from patients to start treatment diagnosed by the Specialist.
  • Achieve proficiency in the PDS system and use its tools, skills, and talents to assist patients in making decisions suited to their wants and needs.
  • Prioritize specialty coordination and consultation and serve as the subject matter expert for treatment plans that include specialty treatment.
  • Proactively manage Specialists’ schedules to keep them full, staggered, balanced, and productive, with appropriate treatment paperwork completed.
  • Act as a liaison between the office and specialty teams and facilitate communication, scheduling considerations, consultations, treatment plan changes, and subsequent patient care by scheduling follow-up appointments with specialty, general practice, and hygiene teams.
  • Understand and use available financial options to give patients choices for starting dentistry within their budgets.
  • Professionally address common patient objections to starting treatment before specialty appointments.
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations before treatment is completed.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand specialty goals and metrics, including reports used to track key metrics and patient care.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS brand by making decisions consistent with the PDS brand framework.
  • Become knowledgeable about the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies and address others professionally and respectfully.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
