We are searching for a talented Patient Access Intake Representative Sr 

*$1,500 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 40hrs 

Shift: Day/Evening shift, 11:00am - 7:30pm and 3:00pm - 11:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation   

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Team Leader, Patient Financial Services, employee will perform a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization. Ensure patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtain accurate patient information. This will ensure patient safety and optimal reimbursement to the organization in accordance with various external regulations. Work as clinical liaison between insurance carrier, physician office and clinical personnel within the system. Using critical thinking skills to determine patient liability prior to services rendered. Utilizing the estimate tool and notify patients of their potential liability in accordance with Federal & State regulations and collect payment. Assist with supervision of assigned personnel.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate required.
• Demonstrated excellent communication & interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong computer skills including medical based programs.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other software programs preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred. Very good organizational skills required.
• Over three years related health care experience including working with third party payers.
• CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manage) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred. Medical Terminology Certificate required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

Pay Range

USD $18.36 - USD $29.27 /Hr.
