  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a growing team with assistance from our Senior Leadership Team
  • Drive technical direction and enable team members' personal development
  • Help the team plan and execute software engineering deliverables
  • Track team velocity and provide metrics for management/improvement
  • Analyze and evaluate technical risks within the scope of a project and make informed recommendations
  • Deliver projects on budget, on time, and with high quality
  • Achieve company-wide visibility as you communicate technical information to a range of audiences, including non-technical internal/external clients
  • Your Experience
  • Qualifications
  • MSc and/or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • 3+ years of experience managing software development teams
  • 1+ years of experience in Project Management (preferably games/software development environment)
  • Working experience with deploying multi-tier applications reliably
  • Experience architecting and designing (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) new and current systems
  • Experience overseeing code and technical documents and providing a timely review to ensure the implementation aligns with company goals
  • Skills
  • Excellent understanding and experience using modern software engineering practices such as peer reviews, scrum, CI/CD, and testing
  • Experience with industry leading game engines like Unreal Engine
  • Expertise with one more programming or scripting language: Python, Java, C++, JavaScrip
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, security, and scalability
  • Ability to work efficiently, occasionally under challenging timelines with evolving priorities
