Requirements
- BSME or similar
- 5+ years mechanical engineering/design
- Experience with piping design to known specifications (CGA, ANSI)
- 2D/3D CAD (e.g. SolidWorks), combined with stress, thermal, fluids analysis
- Experience with all common fluid connections and pressurized systems
- Hands-on experience is necessary
- Fluid and electrical system experience
- Experience in renewable energy, climate tech, or chemical industries
Responsibilities
- Develop novel equipment and machines to support rapid R&D of electrolysis stacks
- Be very hands-on and mechanically inclined for build and debug of electromechanical systems
- Design P&ID's and process diagrams for fluid systems
- Manage bill of materials and design documentation
- Source specific components including mechanical hardware, fluid hardware and electrical components
- Create custom drawings and system specifications
- Work with suppliers to manage part quality and delivery timing
- Manage system level installations of large piping systems for prototype electrolysis plants
- Develop and perform component and system level testing
