Requirements
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of progressive experience, or an Associate's degree and 8+ years of progressive experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of progressive experience is required.
  • Experience as a system administrator performing triage and resolution of system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience programming or administering Physical Access Control Systems is required.
  • Experience effectively managing small teams is required.
  • Understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory hierarchy and implementation is required.
  • Basic knowledge of large-scale networking, VLANs, and routing is required.
  • Reliable attendance at the client site during client-required work hours is required.
  • The ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, is required.
  • A minimum of Security+ certification, CASP, or CISSP certification is required.
  • A background working with multidisciplinary teams is required.
  • Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage physical security system support to meet service level agreements.
  • Configure and manage Windows operating systems and install or load operating system software.
  • Perform desktop hardware and operating system setup, imaging software loading, and antivirus updates.
  • Analyze security system infrastructure performance and recommend improvements.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and the client for escalated tickets.
  • Perform IAVA updates and patching to ensure compliance with Information Assurance standards.
  • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides to Windows-based servers and workstations.
  • Implement and maintain enterprise Windows Active Directory architectures.
  • Perform daily operations, including Active Directory management, monitoring, and system-log review.
  • Configure and maintain virtual hypervisors, including VMware and Hypervisor.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platforms, including Citrix XenDesktop.
  • Install, configure, and maintain third-party applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain highly available SQL database engines.
  • Deploy and maintain storage platforms similar to Dell EqualLogic and Dell PowerVault.
  • Analyze requirements for future deployments and recommend the hardware and software required for IT infrastructure.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on significant issues across all support tiers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including system backups, error-log reviews, database-size analysis, and integrity checks.
  • Develop system and application implementation plans, including testing procedures, and ensure operational reliability.
  • Stay current with technological developments and recommend ways to use emerging technologies.
  • Create technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and as-built documentation, for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Travel up to 10% annually to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Train system users and other system-support personnel as needed.
  • Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision.
