The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the SVP/VP, Head of OEM & Partners will build and lead the revenue function for OEM and Partners while working collaboratively across the executive team. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of identifying, evaluating and executing high-impact partnerships focused on driving significant revenue and business development across TrueCar’s business units, including OEM Solutions, Affinity Partners, Tier 2 dealer groups, and other strategic partners. Given the importance of revenue growth to our corporate strategy, your success will be measured on OEM and Partner program growth and effectiveness leading the OEM and Partner business development teams.
How you will contribute to TrueCar’s success:
- Own full responsibility and accountability for hitting revenue goals across multiple categories such as OEM, Affinity Partners, Tier 2 dealer groups, and other strategic partners
- Lead all aspects of evaluation and execution from idea generation, sourcing and negotiating large strategic partnerships. Analyze internal and external data, as well as market and competitive trends to develop and execute on a strategic OEM and partnership growth roadmap and pipeline, aligned to TrueCar’s business strategy.
- Work cross functionally to support and guide strategic revenue growth including but not limited to our Marketing, Analytics, Commerce Operations and Pricing groups.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities, tracking progress and updating key stakeholders regularly.
- Own content, strategy, agendas, and KPI reporting for key client meetings, executive offsites and Board of Directors meetings. Continuously assess KPIs to assess the effectiveness of business development strategies and make data-driven decisions.
- Leverage deep networks and experience in different partnership and business development models to close high value partnerships, while actively networking to identify new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability.
- Collaborate with the product team to identify new capability areas that would unlock additional business.
- Lead and manage a team of business development and account management professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Foster a results-driven, collaborative culture within the team.
Your Expertise:
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles in a senior leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and clients.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Senior leadership experience with the ability to motivate, manage and develop a team.
- Ability to travel by airplane and car to include overnight stays as required
Salary + incentive: $356,163 - $528,965
