Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in Addictions or a health-related field is required.
- Certification from a recognized Canadian alcohol and drug certification body is required.
- At least five years of experience in a senior leadership role is required.
- Experience in administration, addictions, and counselling programs is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of the relationship between addictions treatment and health issues at the First Nations community level is required.
- Experience maintaining and reporting on budgets exceeding $2 million is required.
- Experience facilitating groups, public speaking, delivering presentations, and writing reports is required.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are required.
- Valid CPR and First Aid training are required.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector, Child Abuse Registry, and Driver's Abstract checks are required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess Wellness Centre programs and service quality to promote an addiction-free lifestyle.
- Provide holistic physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual counselling in prevention, treatment, and aftercare.
- Direct the day-to-day management of all Wellness Centre programs and services, including oversight of more than 60 employees and facility operations.
- Set program strategy in alignment with organizational objectives and accreditation standards.
- Plan, manage, and report on the program budget exceeding $2 million.
- Oversee Addictions Management Information System reporting.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual reports to the Board of Directors.
- Direct the delivery of holistic counselling across prevention, treatment, and aftercare.
- Develop and maintain operational and program policy and procedures manuals.
- Develop and enhance service delivery models in consultation with Indigenous Services Canada, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, and Saskatchewan Health Authority.
- Oversee and provide direction and support to the Nurse Practitioner and nursing staff regarding client health care needs.
- Serve as the senior executive liaison to the Board of Directors and community and partner agencies.
