The Wealth Client Segments Control Testing Utility is responsible for the testing of controls designed and owned by the Citi’s Wealth Segments businesses.
This position reports to the Wealth Client Segments Control Testing Head within the Control Testing Utility and is an execution-oriented individual contributor position accountable for driving controls testing performance and improvement initiatives.
The Wealth Client Segments Performance Initiatives Leader is a subject matter expert on projects, initiatives management, use of analytics and tracking to keep the team’s book of work current and maintain absolute accuracy and timeliness of strategic initiative progress/status tracking tools.
Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant controls testing results and advice regarding the controls execution. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Responsible for supporting the Wealth Client Control Testing Head on performance initiatives related tasks, including interaction with other performance initiatives leaders within the larger organization.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Wealth Client Segments Control Testing Utility by leading strategic rollouts, managing the area’s book of work, and tracking performance against established goals.
- Serves as subject matter expert for the book of work file and strategic initiative progress/status tracking tools – ensure all are kept as up to date as possible and always fully accurate.
- Develops, maintains, and publishes a schedule of when data becomes available to be able to refresh the book of work and strategic initiative progress/status tracking tools – including Testing QC fails.
- Educates team leaders and testing analysts regarding their responsibilities and how to make required inputs to the book of work file and/or other trackers.
- Drives the adoption of best practices and improvements to the book of work file and/or other trackers maintained by this individual to assist senior management decision making and execution.
- Research week-over-week gaps and changes in Testing (IDs, monitoring descriptions, monitoring frequencies, etc.), and attempts to diagnose/resolve prior to contacting testing leads.
- Identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies in sourcing, producing, updating, and communicating relevant updates to the book of work file and strategic initiative progress/status tracking tools.
- Identifies and proposes improved strategic initiatives progress/status tracking tools, mechanisms, reporting, and communications to the team leader – if approved, drive implementation.
- Responsible for checking that goals are being met for timely delivery of key projects and proactive escalation of any roadblocks, including awareness of all reporting and communications deadlines.
- Maintains relationships and drives accountability with partners and stakeholders to drive testing’s success in support of the business’s strategy.
- Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Supports other relevant work efforts of the department where needed and as directed by their manager.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant experience, 3+ years in Risk & Controls roles.
- Subject matter expert on development dashboards, reporting and analytics.
- Excellent understanding of MCA (Managers Control Assessment) frameworks and processes.
- Exceptional skills in MS Excel required and advanced skills in other data-related applications a plus.
- Advanced skills in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint.
- Effective communication, written and presentation skills.
- Strong people and relationship management skills with the ability to influence others and foster a sense of collaboration.
- Exemplary analytical and continuous improvement skills.
- Independent thinker and able to perform a credible challenge of businesses/functions.
- Ability to work effectively on virtual teams, including across different geographies and time zones.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
