What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is seeking a Supply Chain/Logistics intern to support a Product Management office at Ft. Belvoir, VA. As a member of the CACI Intern Program, you’ll be given challenging assignments consistent with your degree program and level of competence. In this role, you will work in the logistics department with the goal of learning general supply chain principles and logistics management, to include automation tools and inventory controls.
Your specific assignment will vary. At CACI we’re solving difficult challenges that will include detailed education in supply chain management techniques and how to effectively utilize information and technology tools to provide insight and develop solutions for complex supply chain business issues. You will have assignments and mentoring, but we also look for our interns to be self-starters and independent thinkers that can bring their own innovation and ideas to the table.

More About the Role
Under the guidance and mentorship of the Product Support team, the intern will learn and help support:
Overall logistics management, to include product acquisition and sustainment.
Participate as a core member on the Software Sustainment Integrated Product Team and assist in developing a requirements process to deliver software updates to sustain the product.
Inventory management, receipt and acceptance of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), conduct new equipment evaluations; GFE automation tools and loan processes, to include performing system checks prior to loan out and at return of equipment.
Perform equipment maintenance, to include desiccant checks and replacement.
Equipment End of life management, i.e., demilitarization of equipment, hazardous materiel removal (if applicable) and destruction.
Supply chain/logistics techniques and processes, to include planning requirements and use of data and automation tools in the planning process and understanding the role of technical manuals in the product sustainment process.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Equivalent of an Associate Degree and currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management or Business field of study (preferably at least two full years of college level study)
Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance (Due to clearance requirement, position will require proof of US Citizenship).
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, i.e., MS Excel for calculations, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
Ability to write clear reports and specifications
Ability to interface with team members, technical leads, and Project Managers
Ability to work alone on individual projects with supervision and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
Good verbal communication skills
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Previous Intern experience and/or lab experience supporting inventory management, operations management, or customer service support desk-type experience
Active Secret Security Clearance
