Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Cosmetic Chemistry or related fields
  • 5-7 years hands-on experience in an R&D setting with scale-up experience of solid dosage and liquid pharmaceutical products
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Pharmacy technician licensure in AZ & OH is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, and sourcing on new product innovation
  • Work closely with R&D Sr. Manager to prioritize workload based on business needs
  • Transfer technical knowledge to the manufacturing team and lead product scale up
  • Partner externally with vendors, suppliers, and co-packers
  • Track milestones and communicate project risks
  • Troubleshoot formula and equipment issues
  • Oversee tech transfer of formulas from R&D to production scale-up
  • Create clear processing instructions for compounding processes
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows to stay updated on industry knowledge
  • Provide input on new equipment purchases
  • Travel to AZ facility as needed to support pilots and cross-train
