Tresata Senior Scala Engineer

Tresata is seeking a Senior Scala Engineer to join its growing team.

As a Senior Scala Engineer, We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scala Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications using Scala. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that drive our business forward.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications using Scala and related technologies.
• Contribute to the architectural design and implementation of complex software systems. Ensure that the code meets high standards of quality, security, and performance.
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to ensure best practices and continuous improvement. 
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, DevOps, and QA to deliver features and improvements in a timely manner.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues, bugs, and bottlenecks in the development process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Scala and related technologies. Continuously improve your skills and share knowledge with the team. 

WHAT SKILLS/EXPERIENCE YOU NEED TO BRING

1. 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Scala.
2. Proficient in Scala, both object oriented and functional programming concepts, and the JVM ecosystem. Experience with frameworks such as Akka, Play, or Spark is a plus.
3. Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and analytically. 
5. Experience with version control systems such as Git. 
6. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
7. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.  

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems. 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). - Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
