Requirements
  • Typically requires Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Math and a minimum of 8 years of Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Management or related field.
  • Experience using either Aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, etc.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes
  • Experience with commercial and aerospace / defense regulations and standards - i.e. AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, ISO-9001, AS9145
  • Experience with hardware inspection techniques
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizen‐ ship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Your on-site presence will allow immediate response to potential issues with supplier material and be present for factory tier meetings and working seamlessly with the Operations and Quality teams in each factory.
  • Primarily support the Circuit Card Manufacturing area to alleviate and resolve supplier caused disruptions and provide additional support to other factory areas when needed.
  • Run metric reports and data analytics to review data to drive appropriate improvement action.
  • Engage in improvement activities to reduce supplier caused rework.
  • Review quality notifications to ensure adequacy of information.
  • Drive continuous improvement in how we resolve supplier nonconformance issues to reduce their impact to the factories.
  • Ensure root-cause analysis and corrective solutions are fully implemented when non-conformances impact the factory.
  • Use lessons learned from supplied material non-conformances to reduce future risk across the supply chain.
  • Identifying and supporting continuous product / process improvements using statistical / analytical tools such as APQP and lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Working with other Quality functions and cross-functional teams to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills.
  • Systematically translate, analyze, and prioritize customer needs, legal and contractual requirements, variances to predicted/targeted values.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience and proven success building and maintaining collaborative business relationships with suppliers, customers or internal team partners (both internal and external to Raytheon).
  • Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
  • Experience in DoD product and process over‐ sight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery
  • Experience with Export/Import Compliance procedures and regulations
  • Experience with different product technologies (electrical, mechanical, electro‐ mechanical, energetics, CCAs)
