Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber security or security engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical lead or senior engineering role, including mentoring or guiding other engineers.
  • Strong hands-on experience across multiple security engineering domains (e.g. EDR, WAF, SIEM, email security, vulnerability management).
  • Solid understanding of enterprise IT and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to operate, improve, and troubleshoot security platforms at scale.
  • Experience working in global, distributed teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Own the day-to-day operation and health of multiple cyber security platforms, including: Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Security logging and monitoring (SIEM), Email security, Vulnerability management.
  • Provide early problem management, technical troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across security controls.
  • Lead incident-related engineering support, working closely with incident response and SOC teams.
  • Oversee patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and lifecycle management of security platforms.
  • Ensure platforms are operated in line with global standards, architecture, and security strategy.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of cyber security engineers in India.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for engineers across supported domains.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of additional engineers as the team scales.
  • Foster a culture of engineering discipline, collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify recurring operational issues and drive engineering-led improvements to increase platform resilience and efficiency.
  • Promote and implement automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
  • Contribute to global security engineering initiatives and projects, including onboarding new tools or improving existing frameworks.
  • Provide input into roadmaps, tooling decisions, and operational metrics.
  • The team provides global coverage across two shifts between 08:00–11:00 (local time), Monday to Friday.
  • Occasional out-of-hours support may be required for major incidents or platform changes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building or scaling a security engineering team.
  • Exposure to automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code in a security context.
  • Experience aligning operational security engineering with security architecture and control design.

This investment provides the financial strength to support the continued delivery of FNZ's transformation programme as it executes on its long-term business plan to drive profitability. The investment comes from some of the world's most sophisticated investors, including La Caisse, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), Generation Investment Management and Motive Partners in support of FNZ's continued transformation and long-term business plan. This new capital will be used to invest in its technology platform, people, products and capture the significant market opportunity ahead. In the past year, the Group has continued to strengthen its franchise and sharpen its focus on its core wealth management technology business serving large financial institutions. FNZ has won and extended a number of key client partnerships across its core geographies and introduced FNZ Select, a premium proposition providing clients with enhanced service levels, advanced capabilities and additional platform support. FNZ appoints Heukshorst as head of Client Management and Business Development. 28 August 2026 UK Reporter: Zarah Choudhary FNZ, an end-to-end global wealth management platform, has appointed Maarten Heukshorst as head of Client Management and Business Development, UK. Heukshorst brings more than 25 years of senior commercial and executive leadership experience across financial services. He has held senior roles including chief commercial officer at Centralis Group, CEO at Custodiex, and chief commercial officer for BNY Mellon Pershing EMEA, with experience in commercial strategy, client relationships, and business growth. In his role, Heukshorst will work closely with clients and colleagues across the UK business to deliver the highest standards of client service and help support the next phase of growth and development. FNZ appoints Stephen Welch as group chair to drive strategy and growth

FNZ has appointed Stephen Welch as group chair. Welch will work with the board and senior management on strategy, transformation and long-term growth plans at the wealth management technology firm. Gregor Stewart, who has served as group chair since 2024, will remain on the board as chair of the risk committee and become senior independent director. FNZ Group CEO Blythe Masters said Welch brings significant experience working with boards and leadership teams of regulated, global financial services businesses. His track record in driving transformation and operational excellence will be valuable as FNZ executes its strategy. Separately this month, Advent and an investor group including HarbourVest Partners agreed to buy FNZ Bank from FNZ.

FNZ agrees sale of FNZ Bank to Advent. FNZ, the leading global wealth management platform, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell FNZ Bank to Advent, and a consortium including HarbourVest Partners ("HarbourVest"). Completion of the transaction is expected to occur in the second half of 2027, subject to customary regulatory and other approvals. The divestment is consistent with FNZ's strategy of focusing on its core wealth management technology business and serving large financial institutions at scale. The transaction supports FNZ's long-term growth ambitions by reinforcing its positioning as a technology platform provider for wealth businesses globally, including in Germany where FNZ Bank remains a key client. Following completion of the transaction, FNZ and FNZ Bank intend to continue their long-standing partnership, leveraging FNZ's technology capabilities to support the bank's continued growth and client offering. FNZ will continue to partner with wealth management institutions across continental Europe, including Germany, Switzerland and the Nordics, as they modernise their technology platforms.
