Requirements
  • Minimum a Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner of Family Nurse Practitioner. Doctorate Degree is Preferred.
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
  • Proven clinical experience in women's health, preferably in a primary care or OB/GYN hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of women's health issues, including gynecology, reproductive health, prenatal care, and menopausal management.
  • Proficiency in performing gynecological exams, Pap smears, and other women's health screenings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Dedication to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Bilingual Preferred.

CentroMed is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center providing primary care, dental, behavioral health, women's health, pediatrics, and HIV/AIDS care across more than 20 sites in the San Antonio area. Its services are designed for underserved and low-income residents, with care available regardless of ability to pay, funded by program service fees, federal grants, and private contributions, and it accepts Medicare and Medicaid. The organization began in 1971 as a counseling program and expanded over the years to medical, dental, and OB-Gyn/perinatal clinics, building partnerships with local health systems to extend access. CentroMed aims to increase access to affordable, comprehensive healthcare through a network of clinics and community partnerships, serving a broad client base including families, homeless individuals, and vulnerable populations.
