- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of the Level III program within one year of entering the Lead role is required.
- Satisfactory prior performance as an Environmental Services Worker or equivalent in a health care setting is required.
- Knowledge of health care environmental services is required.
- Working knowledge of environmental services floor machines and typical housekeeping equipment is required.
- The ability to train staff and present classroom materials is required.
- Basic computer familiarity and the ability to navigate web-based applications at a basic level are required.
- Execute and oversee cleaning duties in assigned patient care areas, work areas, and general public areas.
- Oversee staff for one shift in the absence of a Supervisor.
- Coordinate and assist with routine Environmental Services assignments and activities.
- Maintain and update staffing schedules, training requirements, and the preventive-maintenance project list.
- Establish and maintain communication with department customers.
- Monitor quality daily.
