Requirements
  • MBA and qualification as a qualified or semi-qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost and Management Accountant.
  • Extensive experience in corporate accounting, financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, tax accounting, general ledger reconciliations, management company accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, record-to-report processes, and intercompany accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and experience applying accounting principles and standards in a corporate or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and enterprise resource planning platforms, preferably NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar financial management applications.
  • Leadership, analytical, stakeholder management, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage complex deliverables, develop team capability, improve processes, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and review of complex accounting deliverables, including financial statements, bookkeeping activities, general ledger reconciliations, management company accounts, intercompany accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, record-to-report processes, tax-related activities, and corporate accounting deliverables for allocated clients.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Accountants, Senior Accountants, and new team members by providing technical guidance, performance feedback, training, and support.
  • Manage client relationships and stakeholder interactions by resolving complex accounting queries, responding to client and cluster requests, monitoring service levels, ensuring timely delivery of assignments, and maintaining high standards of client service.
  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring team key performance indicators, reviewing quality and compliance standards, implementing process improvements, leading small projects, supporting technology and system enhancements, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal control requirements.
  • Contribute to team leadership and business success through performance evaluations, resource coordination, problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and independent resolution of complex technical accounting and operational issues.

Investor services provider IQ-EQ is strengthening its Swiss business with the appointment of Martin Müller as Director of Business Development. Based in Zurich, he will focus on expanding the firm's business with asset managers, institutional investors and family offices. He previously held positions at Partners Group and StepStone Group and has more than ten years of experience in private markets and alternative investments. His work has included the development and structuring of fund and investment solutions across private equity, private debt and real assets. At IQ-EQ, Müller will focus on developing the firm's fund and investor services business in Switzerland and will work closely with its Luxembourg team. The company sees growing demand in Switzerland for services related to private markets. According to the firm, private credit, evergreen and semi-liquid funds as well as separately managed accounts are gaining importance. At the same time, requirements around fund administration, reporting, compliance and governance are increasing. IQ-EQ provides services ranging from fund structuring and administration to investor reporting, transfer agency, corporate services and private wealth services. In Europe, the group has operations in key fund domiciles including Luxembourg, Ireland and France, alongside offices in Zurich and Geneva.
