Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or high-tech environments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC Machining, hand-soldering, harness fabrication) and foundational knowledge of engineering concepts, including but not limited to: kinetics/dynamics, fluid mechanics, power systems, and thermodynamics.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, IPC, NASA and/or ECSS)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Green or Black Belt Certification
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques
  • Previous experience as a technician building spacecraft
Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for satellite components and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing strategies and plans
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop corrective actions
  • Support production teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting
