Requirements
  • Experience in marketing live and virtual events
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, especially with Product/Technology, Design and Analytics teams
  • Strong understanding of audience segments and journey through the conversion funnel
  • Strong analytical skills and a knack for using data to make decisions
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Creative thinking and a bias for action
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Looker, and/or an ESP a plus
Responsibilities
  • Planning and executing marketing campaigns to: Generate RSVPs and viewership, Increase awareness and interests of our Events offerings
  • Leveraging paid and organic channels such as house ads, email, social media, display, paid search and content marketing.
  • Partnering with the Events team to develop plans and messaging and monitor campaign results.
  • Collaborating with Audience Development to post on Axios social media accounts.
  • Initiating and managing A/B tests to improve conversions and engagements in the registration flow.
  • Partnering with the Design team to develop creative assets for various marketing channels, including landing pages, emails, social posts, and ads.
  • Creating and deploying marketing emails to attract event registrations.
  • Working closely with other Growth team members on cross-promotions, the Product/Tech team on organic acquisition, and the Analytics team on reporting and analysis.
  • Reporting campaign results, presenting data-driven insights, and recommending next steps to increase the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns.
  • Occasional travel to support event media capture and promotion.
