The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Digital Experience (DX) Finance team as we continue to propel the business through data-driven forecasts and provide influential insights. This Finance Manager role will report to the Director, DX Finance. You will own the DX subscription revenue forecasting with bi-weekly and quarterly deliverables for the DX organization. You will play a pivotal role in providing insights into the business and offer recommendations that can have influence on Adobe’s external Wall Street earnings release. This is a powerful position with the ability to influence senior and executive management decisions, inspire change, and challenge status quo as Adobe continues to scale for growth.
What you’ll do
- Prepare revenue guidance for bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
- Explain forecast variances from actuals by weaving a narrative that explains aligns with business performance and is backed by data driven analysis.
- Build financial models, run scenario analysis, and provide data analytics to identify areas of risk and opportunity.
- Drive continual operational improvement, lead governance, standardization, and automation to scale the business.
- Partner effectively with other teams including Corporate Accounting, Revenue Assurance, Corp FP&A, Credit, Order Management and Sales.
- Address new requests: understand the core question being asked, gather needed data, build models, validate assumptions, perform analyses, summarize, and present results in a compelling manner.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a team member to achieve their full potential.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience required (SaaS industry and/or CPA firm experience preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience with SQL highly preferred. Tableau, SFDC, SAP and TM1 are a plus.
- Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Self-starter with an inquisitive mind willing to provide recommendations by retrieving and coordinating big data and performing analytical rigor.
- Proven ability to drive large-scale planning processes that involve multiple business partners.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to lead, set objectives, and seek to results.
- Proven record of delivery and ability to assess and prioritize competing demands.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $97,700 -- $205,700 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
