Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Three to five years of relevant insurance industry work experience is required.
  • The candidate must possess active and unrestricted state-issued license(s) required to place property and casualty insurance.
  • The candidate must have knowledge of desktop systems, including Microsoft Office software applications.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong sales skills and a history of developing, tracking, following up on, and closing leads.
  • The candidate must use advanced consultative selling techniques supported by thorough product knowledge.
Responsibilities
  • Use sales techniques and strong product knowledge to identify customer-specific needs, generate new sales, retain existing insureds, and grow the insurance book of business.
  • Meet or exceed targets defined in the sales incentive plan and assigned by the Insurance Agent’s manager.
  • Conduct insurance reviews, assess risk using provided tools and underwriting guidelines, recommend appropriate products and coverage, quote, bind, and issue policies.
  • Establish rapport with insureds to enhance member affinity to the AAA brand and increase member satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Proactively solicit and market at business and community events, perform outbound calling, work marketing lists, and cross-sell or up-sell products to new and existing customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests relating to insurance products and membership.
  • Research and resolve complex customer service issues.
  • Assist insureds in initiating the first notice of loss on claims.
