Mission Graduates focuses on increasing college attendance among youth and families in San Francisco. The organization serves around 5,000 students through various educational programs, including after-school activities, in-school support, and summer initiatives, all aimed at fostering a college-going culture. By collaborating with local schools like Bryant Elementary, Flynn Elementary, and Mission High School, Mission Graduates ensures that each program is tailored to the needs of the community. The organization operates on a model funded by donations, grants, and fundraising events, which are used to develop and sustain their programs. Unlike many other educational organizations, Mission Graduates emphasizes cost-effectiveness and transparency, ensuring that resources are used efficiently to maximize impact. Their goal is to make college an attainable goal for all students in San Francisco, particularly those from underserved communities.
