Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Four to eight years of progressive experience in cost accounting and general accounting within a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and product costing is required.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, supply chain, or plant finance is required.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data are required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with enterprise resource planning systems are required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
  • The ability to build relationships with shop floor employees, supervisors, managers, and executive leadership is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required.
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail is required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the financial representative on the Willoughby Plant Management Team.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain leaders to improve manufacturing performance and profitability.
  • Provide financial insight that supports strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial reports for the Willoughby facility and other North American operations as needed.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory performance, operational efficiency, and key business metrics.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Support leadership with financial reporting and performance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate product costing and perform detailed cost analyses.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify cost drivers and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze manufacturing margins, material yields, inventory valuation, and production performance.
  • Support pricing, profitability, and investment decisions through financial analysis.
  • Lead the annual operating budget and planning process for the Willoughby facility.
  • Support month-end close, financial audits, capital project tracking, and other operational finance activities.
  • Perform special financial analyses and projects that support operational excellence.
  • Help strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes.
  • Develop expertise in the company's Movex/M3 enterprise resource planning system and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial and operational data.
  • Partner with Operations to improve reporting accuracy and business processes.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.
Desired Qualifications
