Job Description
Our group is looking for someone who can organize cross-functional agency initiatives and guide them to help grow our agency. Here’s how you’ll make your mark:
- Lead and support large new business efforts for multi-million dollar opportunities. This includes everything from the strategic selling approach (ensuring we’re delivering at and above the clients’ expectations), brand recommendations (contributing thinking to our proposed ideas), project management (overseeing organizing efforts and details), and team management (scheduling and moderating key meetings, following up on tasks, etc.)
- Strengthen our internal processes — help us uncover new ways to enhance and improve our ways of working
- Quickly become a go-to expert on our agency story, offerings, and services
- Proactively track our agency landscape by understanding our competitors and their offerings, helping us constantly look for ways to stand out and above
- Oversee the creation of content to drive new business and agency marketing efforts — case studies, presentations, written descriptions, videos, etc.
- Create strong, confident, and trusting relationships with senior leaders and discipline leads
- Support and mentor junior team members
How you’ll grow with us:
Senior Director is where you’ll start, but we’re always planning for where you’ll go. Through on-the-job learning and mentorship, you’ll be expected to hone skills that will help you grow and expand your impact. These newly-gained talents will include:
- Thinking even bigger-picture about our growth strategy, partnering with team members to gain buy-in and deliver against it
- Flawlessly partnering with all levels at the agency and the wider Publicis network, as both a thought leader in your craft and a sponge to soak up new learnings to improve our work
- Running workstreams flawlessly, thanks to deep understanding of the agency, deft delegation skills, and your ability to see both the forest and the trees
- Proactively exploring and suggesting novel ideas for how we sell our services
Qualifications
With at least 8 years of experience in agency-side marketing and advertising, these are the skills and qualities you offer:
- Creative AOR advertising agency experience is a must, healthcare experience is a big bonus
- Several years of experience leading new business efforts, specifically RFPs, RFIs, and agency credential presentations. If you don’t have experience in new business, then you must bring comparable agency experience in the Account or Strategy functions.
- A deep understanding for how brand campaigns are made — strategic thinking, creative campaign development, media plan development, and tactical execution
- Extremely strong writing and info-distillation skills, whether you’re developing content yourself or synthesizing info to be able to direct others
- The ability to clearly direct and positively motivate cross-functional agency team members, as they contribute to pitches and marketing projects amidst their own busy schedules and competing priorities
- A scrappy mentality — if you don’t have something or know something, then you’re compelled to find it or figure it out
- A profuse sweating of all the details — you take pride in near-perfection
- The internal drive to succeed and help our agency/teams succeed. You love to win
