Responsibilities

Perform financial operations including cash, expense management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax compliance
Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and document processes for month-end close
Support monthly close activities including revenue and expense
Participate in the annual financial statement audit, the annual tax return/provision preparation, and sales tax compliance
Assist with accounting projects and identify process improvements to reduce the monthly-close timeline while enhancing the accuracy of underlying accounting records

About the role:

Lumafield is seeking an Accounting Co-op to join our growing finance team. You will play a key role in our business transformation efforts as we scale on a high-growth trajectory and will have the opportunity to work on projects that revamp and modernize the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting cycles. As a member of the finance team, you will work closely to help to drive the success of Lumafield’s internal and external financial reporting, completing the monthly close, assisting in implementing new systems and processes, internal controls, and accounting policies.

This is a fast-paced and dynamic role and will offer exposure to many different areas of accounting and finance. What you’ll do:
