A Day in the Life
The Technical Services department in Heerlen is responsible for addressing clinical/technical product inquiries for Europe, Middle East and Africa. The Technical Service Specialist Connectivity and Cloud solutions is the central point of contact in the Endoscopy Technical Service team to support customers with the installation, use and troubleshooting of the connected endoscopy solutions. You will be responsible for providing remote technical support (phone, e-mail) to the Endoscopy business. The gastro-intestinal products portfolio consists of capsule endoscopy products, motility testing, endoscopic ultrasound and reflux testing. The focus on this position will be to support the roll-out of new products which are connected to the hospital infrastructure and/or to the cloud. This position requires up to 10% travel.

We are looking for a technical specialist, who wants to develop towards a real connectivity specialist, and use this knowledge to explain and support customers (including hospital IT) in using and connecting our products to Electronic Medical Record system or the cloud. We invite both experienced professionals and recent graduates to apply for this position.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Supporting customers with new installations, answering security questions and troubleshooting related to the new technologies (apps, cloud application, AI, communication technology, etc.)
- Providing world class technical support to our customers via phone and email; documentation and tracking of incoming requests
- Serving as a technical liaison between our stakeholders and the operating unit in Israel and the United States
- Providing training to internal and external customers
- Providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within the job area
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in IT, or a technical degree with clear affinity in IT/cloud/connectivity and working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud technology platforms
- Experience in application and system level debug and triage, all networking aspects including IP, TCP, VPNs, Routing and Firewalls, Windows Operating systems and Windows server systems
- Strong follow-through and initiative to stay with issues until they are resolved, along with discipline and tenacity to meet deadlines while keeping strong customer focus
- Experience with working in a medical technical environment, analysing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement
- Fluency in English
In addition to above, strong decision-making skills, demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle several tasks at the same time are desired.
