Requirements
  • 10 years of experience throughout the accounting function
  • 3-5 years with a public accounting firm
  • Prior experience as the lead in producing GAAP financials
  • Experience taking a company from the early stages of accounting systems and processes through to the next level of maturity and beyond
  • Have managed an audit process
  • Experience with manufacturing businesses, costing, and inventory systems
  • Experience in recurring revenue businesses a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree. Concentration in Accounting preferred
  • A technical accounting background, CPA required
  • Ability to operate independently and set priorities, identify opportunities for improvement and execute on those opportunities
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and own critical decision-making responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a team to perform all accounting functions including responsibilities for the general ledger, accounts payable, tax, revenue recognition, and fixed assets
  • Ensure accurate accounting for complex multi-year contracts comprised of recurring revenue and hardware deliveries, investments, inventory, and multi-entity consolidations
  • Own and optimize the financial close process
  • Prepare timely and accurate financials that are in accordance with US GAAP
  • Implement consistent and scalable systems and processes that will support a growing organization, which includes influencing the strategic direction of our financial systems
  • Develop balanced internal controls, guidelines and procedures
  • Manage relationships with auditors and external accounting/tax advisors
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and leadership
  • As a critical member of the team, partner with leaders of the organization to provide financial visibility and insights that inform decision making
