Required Skills
Product Management
Requirements
  • 7+ years of product management experience with deep ownership of hardware-enabled systems, including embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
  • Full hardware phase ownership experience: PRD through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production, with direct accountability for system-level requirements and cross-device trade-offs.
  • Strong technical foundation in perception and sensing technologies (cameras, radar, thermal, BLE beacons, audio) and ability to translate real-world functionality into complex cross-device system requirements.
  • Proven ability to work fluently with hardware, firmware and software engineers on technical requirements, constraints, and system-level trade-offs—you can hold your own in a schematic review or a firmware debug session.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, durable system requirements, technical PRDs, and trade-off analyses for both engineering and leadership audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Own the System of Systems: Define and maintain system-level requirements and architecture across all current hardware and future devices.
  • Serve as the authoritative voice on how devices collaborate, communicate, and fail gracefully together.
  • Lead discovery on new and existing hardware types: Partner with hardware, software and commercial teams to evaluate sensing technologies and device configurations, assess technical feasibility and regulatory constraints, and tie recommendations directly to business expansion opportunities (e.g., new product SKUs, market expansion opportunities and new verticals, and stronger unit economics).
  • Lead Hardware Phase Strategy: Define and continually refine what success looks like from PRD kick-off through Concept, EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production. Translate end user needs, business and clinical goals into clear system-level requirements for each phase, shape the criteria for go/no-go decisions, and ensure teams stay aligned on the product outcomes we’re driving toward at every milestone.
  • Shape Cross-Device Trade-offs: Identify integration gaps, reliability risks, and cross-device dependencies before they become field issues. Surface concrete, well-reasoned trade-off recommendations to engineering leadership.
  • Partner with Implementation: Work closely with the implementation team to translate real-world deployment constraints into product requirements—and to quickly triage when systems behave unexpectedly in the field.
  • Drive AI-Powered Product Development: Use AI as a daily multiplier—spotting patterns in device telemetry, generating PRDs from raw notes and logs, maintaining a living system-of-systems knowledge base, and accelerating the feedback loop from field observations to product decisions.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with hardware engineering, firmware, software, mobile, and Data & AI teams, as well as Implementation, Clinical Success, and Operations—acting as the integration point that keeps the whole system coherent.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with safety-critical or regulated device environments (UL2560/UL 1069, FDA, FCC, or medical device standards).
  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, or clinical settings where reliability, privacy, and trust are paramount.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applied to on-device sensing data, telemetry anomaly detection, or perception pipelines.

Inspiren provides patient-care technology for hospitals, nursing homes, and other care facilities to monitor patients in real time using a hybrid sensing platform that blends computer vision, environmental sensing, and IoT. The system analyzes clinical data, behavior patterns, and environmental context to generate actionable insights at the point of care, aiming to improve patient safety, staff efficiency, and infection control. It is sold and installed with ongoing service, maintenance, and analytics options to support seamless integration into existing care environments. Its goal is to turn raw sensor and video data into practical, timely guidance that enhances care quality and operational efficiency.

Inspiren named to Fast Company's 'Most Innovative' list after raising $135M

Inspiren, an AI-powered unified ecosystem for senior living, has been named to Fast Company's World's Most Innovative Companies of 2026 list. The recognition follows the company's $100 million Series B funding in 2025, the largest technology raise in senior living history. Inspiren's ecosystem combines seven proprietary hardware devices with integrated software applications and clinical support from registered nurses and physical therapists. The platform delivers measurable outcomes including 54% fewer hospitalisations, 34% longer resident stays and 50% faster response times. The company recently launched Inspiren HQ, an AI-powered command centre for managing care delivery and operations. In customer communities, one in three residents cited Inspiren's technology as a deciding factor in their move-in decision. The platform integrates with leading electronic health records systems to provide staff immediate access to resident information.
