Unum has expanded its Broker Connect integration with Employee Navigator, introducing automated billing and eligibility features for benefits and leave administration. The enhancements build on nearly a decade of partnership and 2024's automated plan setup capabilities. The new billing system automatically aligns premiums with coverage using current enrollment data, reducing reconciliation work. Unum's automated eligibility solution eliminates manual file feeds and supports easier onboarding and claims administration. The expansion also enables automated eligibility data sharing between Employee Navigator and Unum Total Leave for growing employers managing complex leave requirements. The Fortune 500 company reported revenues of $13.1 billion and paid $8.3 billion in benefits in 2025. Unum provides workplace benefits including disability, life, accident, critical illness, dental and vision insurance through its Unum and Colonial Life brands.

Employee Navigator completed a $100 million funding round from JMI Equity and Spectrum Equity. The investment facilitated a $120 million tender offer for liquidity to existing shareholders, including those from Enrollease, Inc., acquired in 2023. The company supports over 180,000 U.S. employers and 13 million employees. CEO George Reese highlighted future plans for AI-driven applications and enhanced support for large employers.
