Requirements
  • A license to practice pharmacy in the State of Idaho is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to provide audience-appropriate written and verbal communication, including clear and concise instructions.
  • Current knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate various computer software platforms at a high level of mastery.
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals and drug therapies.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Strong typing and accurate data-entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong follow-through and closed-loop communication.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medication advice and guidance to patients and medical staff.
  • Deliver patient care, manage medications, and support clinical initiatives.
  • Work directly with patients and providers in a clinic or serve the community through pharmacy services, depending on the setting.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and internal staff.
  • Provide patient counseling.
  • Ensure prescriptions are correctly dispensed according to provider authorization and Heritage Health policies and procedures.
  • Perform assigned clinical responsibilities, including population health, medication therapy management, and disease-state management.
  • Ensure staff provide high standards of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and institutional regulations, guidelines, policies, and standards for service provision.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • A registered pharmacist (RPh) with equivalent experience may be considered.
