Requirements
  • Experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and core tools such as Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Control Plans, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Experience in a similar Quality Engineer role, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must hold or be able to meet the appropriate security clearance as required.
Responsibilities
  • Support and develop APQP plans and ensure agreed quality activities meet business needs.
  • Provide guidance on product design and manufacturing processes, supporting the creation of PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
  • Conduct internal audits to monitor compliance with quality standards and address non-conformance issues.
  • Regularly communicate with project teams to report on quality risks, issues, and performance.
  • Lead and contribute to process improvement reviews across the business.
  • Review contractual quality requirements and support compliance audits and quality system reviews.
  • Establish strong customer relationships, identify potential issues, and implement corrective and preventative measures.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff within the Quality Department.
  • Support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Quality plans and policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
  • Technical qualifications in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with technical workshops such as CNC, welding, testing, or fitting.
