Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or active Professional Engineering License and 5+ years’ experience in energy management; OR Environmental Science, Business, or related degree and 8+ years’ experience in energy management; OR Two-year technical degree and 10+ years’ experience in energy management; OR No degree and 12+ years’ experience in energy management.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze utility data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for energy savings.
  • Conduct energy audits of facilities and infrastructure to assess energy efficiency.
  • Update and maintain Installation Energy & Water Plans (IEWP), annual energy reports, and other required documentation.
  • Identify, develop, and implement energy efficiency and resilience projects.
  • Provide guidance on energy project funding mechanisms, including ERCIP, UESC, ESPC, and other relevant sources.
  • Provide expertise on measurement and verification protocols for energy projects.
  • Advise on relevant Executive Orders and energy policies.
  • Assist with awareness and behavioral change programs to optimize utility resource utilization (natural gas, electricity, coal, water, wastewater).
Desired Qualifications
  • Documented achievement of substantial energy and maintenance savings in facility management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop energy and maintenance baselines.
  • Professional Engineering (PE), LEED Accredited Professional (AP), or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) certifications.
