- A valid state driver's license is required.

- Provide safe, reliable, courteous, and efficient transportation for residents to human service locations, work sites, educational institutions, medical facilities, grocery stores, drug stores, and other destinations.
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using the wheelchair lift or stairs as needed, open and close doors, and load or unload walkers and wheelchairs.
- Prioritize resident safety and satisfaction and account for all residents when leaving or returning to the community.
- Prepare the van or bus for operation and coordinate necessary vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure vehicle license plates, inspection tags, and insurance cards are current and properly displayed according to local and state policy.
- Follow and understand the rules of the road and transportation safety procedures.
- Maintain a current driving license according to state regulations to perform transportation services.
- Assist with resident programs, activities, and special events as needed.
- Build positive relationships with residents, engage in friendly conversation, and provide support during trips.
- Previous passenger-vehicle driving experience in a healthcare or senior living setting.
